かしわ‐で〔かしは‐〕【×柏手／▽拍手】
《「柏手」は「拍手」の誤写か》神道において、神を拝むとき、両の手のひらを打って音を立てる礼拝作法。
OR 神を拝する時、両手のてのひらを打ち合わせて音を立てること。開手(ひらて)。

はくしゅ 【拍手】
万雷の拍手 thunderous applause.
観客は彼の演技に拍手をおくった
The audience clapped [applauded] his performance./The audience gave his performance applause [a clap].
さあ彼らに大きな拍手をおくりましょう
Let's give them a big hand.
そのピアニストは演奏が終わる とあらしのような[総立ちの]拍手かっさいを受けた
The pianist got a big round of applause [a standing ovation] at the end of his performance.（※a round of...は「ひとしきりの...」の意）
講演が終わると一斉に拍手が起こった
There was a round of applause as he ended his speech.
※clap one's handsは手をたたくということで,必ずしも拍手にはならない.→ 叩(たた)く
