Memo: Top part's different, but the look is similar. Appropriately there's a 草冠 （くさかんむり） / grass radical for the gravesite kanji, since grass grows over graves.
違い 【ちがい】 VS 偉い【えらい】 VS 衛 (defense, protection)

The えい kanji has a lot going on (衛） ・・ the link between all three is 韋（イ, tanned leather）

Hmm.. Trick: 偉い＝ sorta like "person with tanned leather". So, people with tanned leather clothes are えらい？

なつかしい has the heart radical on the side (りっしんべん).. it's definitely an emotion of the heart!
(And well, I suppose you could also think "you break things on the ground (土)")
塊 VS 鬼 VS 兎(兔）VS 魂
塊 【かたまり】 (n) lump, mass, clod, cluster, (P)
鬼 【おに】 (n) ogre, demon, "it" (i.e. in a game of tag), (P)
違い： かたまり has the land radical on the left (つちへん)... so a clump looks like a big 'soil ogre'?

うさぎ just has the same general shape of 塊 and 鬼, but it also has the animal-related (in my opinion) てん-type mark that my classmates used to claim was "poop". (It's in 犬 too!)
魂 【たましい】 is comprised of 云 (speak) + 鬼 (ogre).
