２ 後ろで結んだ帯の両端を不均等に長く垂れ下げたもの。

イネ科の一年草。路傍や空き地の至る所にみられ、高さ40～70センチ。葉は細長く、先がとがる。夏、茎の頂に円柱状の太い緑色の穂を1本出し、子犬の尾に似る。ねこじゃらし。《季 秋》「朔北や―も花痩 (や) せて／楸邨」
