今回の方法は、フラッシュ・カードで。
First with the kanji, then examples, then sentences found on the internet.
This is using the Tuttle series of flashcards for the Level 2 of the JLPT, I do believe. The one with the rabbit on the box, in any case.
妻 つま wife (card no. 449)
夫妻 【ふさい】 man [husband] and wife
おまけ：
愛妻家 あいさいか a devoted husband 、
人妻 ひとづま a married woman; someone else's wife
Kinda looks like...
委 イ commit, entrust, leave to, delegate (card no. 451)
委員 いいん a committee member; a delegate
委員長 the (committee) chairperson
委任する いにんする to entrust so. with a matter; to delegate
委細 いさい details; particulars; the whole story
Remember 童子 (どうじ)? As in 童子が同時に動じる , that 早口言葉 that a student invented?
Well, it's the same kanji as わらべ.
童 ドウ わらべ child, youngster
*童謡 どうよう a children's song; a nursery song
compare to 童歌, わらべうた, a children's (folk) song; a nursery rhyme
*童話 どうわ a fairy tale [story]; a children's story
ボーナス：
童顔の どうがん baby-faced; boyish-looking; girlish-looking
学童 がくどう a student; a pupil; a schoolboy [schoolgirl]
A similar "立 radical on top" kanji..
