くせに

"くせに" is one of those grammar points/phrases that I heard so often I thought I had inferred the meaning properly, but it turns out I'm basically wrong.
Especially when it's used at the end of sentences... like some sort of angry ending note.
JGram.org:
田中さんは日本人のくせにあまり漢字を知らない。
although Mr tanaka is a Japanese, he doesn't know much kanji.
くせに : 1）and yet 2）though 3）when 4）in spite of
－くせに【－癖に】
君は何も知らないくせになんでも知っているような事を言う
You talk knowingly without knowing a thing.
子供のくせにいろいろのことを知っている
He knows a lot although he's just a child.
金持ちのくせにけちだ
Though he is rich, he is stingy [a skinflint].
医者でもないくせに
As if you were a doctor!
The one example I keep hearing in my head is from the movie GO, when Sugihara grabs Wonsu by the back of the neck and collar and says "What the hell are you talking about? You weren't even friends with Jong-il くせに。"
お前にジョンイルの何が分るんだよ！ろくに話したこともねぇくせに。ただ暴れてぇだけじゃねぇか！
碌に / ろくに : adv uk 1）well 2）enough 3）sufficient P
"What the hell do you know about Jong-il!! As if you ever talked with him enough..."
Yeah, in that example, "as if" (from American English) is a great translation I think. But, what he's (Sugihara) saying is "Despite never actually talking with Jong-il, you want to avenge him? You just are looking for an excuse to fight''' etc etc".
Ah, GO. 勉強になってよかったっすよ！
